The number of unemployed in Azerbaijan has increased by 900 people in the last 3 months

As of April 1 of this year, there were 283.2 thousand unemployed people in Azerbaijan.
The calculation carried out by Yeniavaz.com with reference to published official data shows that over the last 3 months since the beginning of this year, the number of unemployed in the country has increased by about 900 people.
For information, according to available data at the beginning of the current month, the number of economically active population was 5 million 316 thousand people, of which the employed (working) population is 5 million 32.8 thousand people.
It should be noted that at the beginning of 2021, the number of unemployed in Azerbaijan reached its highest level in the last 20 years. As of that date, there were 375.9 thousand unemployed people in the country. The lowest unemployment rate was recorded at the beginning of 2014. As of January 1, 2014, there were 236,600 unemployed people in the country.
It should also be noted that as of April 1, 2025, the number of unemployed people registered with the territorial bodies of the State Employment Service amounted to 231.2 thousand people, of which 47.9% were women.
