The volume of deposits placed by legal entities in Yelo Bank OJSC has dropped sharply.
Yeniavaz.com reports, that over the past year, deposits of legal entities in Yelo Bank have decreased by 3.6 times - from 720.6 million manat to 197.8 million manat.
It should be noted that Yelo Bank, which has been operating in our country since 1994, initially began its activities as the Ulper commercial bank.
In 2002, it was rebranded and renamed Nikoil Bank.
In 2019, the bank was renamed Yelo Bank, which is still used today.
Until March 2022, the main shareholder of Yelo Bank was Topaz Investment Limited LLC.
The person who directly controlled the bank was Vahid Alekperov, the owner of the Russian company Lukoil, a billionaire of Azerbaijani origin.
Due to sanctions imposed on Russia after the war in Ukraine, Vahid Alekperov transferred a number of assets under his control to other persons.
Since March 2022, Marina Kulishova has been the person directly controlling Yelo Bank.
Marina Kulishova owns 98.94% of the shares of Yelo Bank, the second largest bank in Azerbaijan by authorized capital (378 million manat).
