In September of this year, the number of old-age pensioners in Azerbaijan was 708,845 people.

For your information, over the past month, the number of old-age pensioners has decreased by 1,930 people. Thus, in August of this year, the number of old-age pensioners was 710,775 people.
It should also be noted that in recent years, the number of old-age pensioners in Azerbaijan has been rapidly declining. Over the past 14 years, the number of old-age pensioners in Azerbaijan has decreased by 19%. If in 2010 there were 858,659 pensioners in the country, then at the beginning of this year their number decreased to 696,266.
The decrease was recorded mainly among female pensioners.
The number of female pensioners has decreased by 27.7% over the past 14 years, from 559,596 to 404,505 people.
During this period, the number of male pensioners has decreased by 2.4%, from 299,063 to 291,761 people.
