Citizens of Azerbaijan spend an average of 39.9 minutes a day on the road.
Yeniavaz.com reports by with reference to the “Traffic Index – 2024” report on the well-known “Numbeo” portal, the biggest “time wasters” on the roads are citizens of Nigeria.
According to estimates, citizens of Nigeria spend an average of 64.2 minutes a day on the road.
Citizens of Oman spend the least time on the road. Citizens of this country spend an average of 21 minutes a day getting from one place to another.
In terms of time spent on the road, Azerbaijan is ahead of Iran, Turkey, Russia and Georgia among the countries of the region.
The situation in other countries of the region included in the report was as follows:
Iran – 46.4 minutes;
Turkey – 43.8 minutes;
Russia – 43.3 minutes;
Georgia – 40.3 minutes;
Azerbaijan – 39.9 minutes;
Ukraine – 7.9 minutes;
Kazakhstan – 35.6 minutes;
Belarus – 31.2 minutes;
Armenia – 29.8 minutes.
Oman (23), Iceland (21.3), Estonia (21.8), Cyprus (23.3) and Lithuania (23.4) are among the top five countries spending the least amount of time on the road.
Nigeria (64.2), Costa Rica (60), Bangladesh (57.6), Sri Lanka (54.6) and Kenya (50.6) are among the top five countries spending the most time.
