According to the latest data from the second quarter of this year, the volume of problem loans of Bank BTB OJSC amounted to 22 million 15.1 thousand manats, and interest debt amounted to 4 million 177 thousand manats.
Yeniavaz.com reports that compared to the same period of previous years, the volume of problem loans of Bank BTB OJSC has increased.
The greatest growth was recorded in loans issued by the bank to commercial enterprises. Of the loans worth 26 million manats issued by the bank to commercial enterprises, more than 1/3 - 9.8 million - were not repaid on time. The volume of loans with a repayment period of over one year amounted to 7.8 million manat.
For comparison, for the same period last year, the amount of loans for commercial enterprises not repaid by the bank on time amounted to 8.4 million, of which 2.2 million manats were overdue for more than a year. In 2021, this figure was 2.1 million manats, and in 2020 – 621 thousand manats.
As can be seen from the figures, over the past 4 years, the volume of loans overdue for more than one year for commercial enterprises has increased from 621 thousand manats to 7.8 million manats.
For information, last year, out of 25 banks operating in Azerbaijan, only Bank BTB OJSC suffered a loss.
74.99% of the shares of OJSC "Bank BTB" belong to Mehdiyeva Nigar Ismail gizi, 19.01% - to Sadyk Rza Ismail oglu, 6% - to Mahmudova Tukezban Aga gizi.
It should be noted that for many years the press has been writing that Nigar Ismail gizi Mehdiyeva, the main shareholder of Bank BTB, is the daughter-in-law of the former head of the Presidential Administration, former President of ANAS, Ramiz Mehdiyev, and this information has not been refuted to this day.
It should also be noted that Dr. Nigar Ismail gizi Mehdiyeva, who is currently the deputy director of the oncology clinic of the Medical University, and Rza Ismail oglu Sadiq are the children of Ismail Rza oglu Sadigov, who held high positions in the Cabinet of Ministers for many years.
