"Muğanbank" OJSC (TIN - 1400122681), owned by family members of the former MP, Rector of Odlar Yurdu University Ahmet Valiyev, filed a lawsuit against "Xalq Sığorta" OJSC (TIN - 2000358551).
Yeniavaz.com reports, that the suit will be considered by the judge of the Baku Commercial Court Leyla Aliyeva.
It is noted that the claim is connected with disputes over the insurance contract.
For information, JSC "Xalq Sığorta" is one of the leading insurance companies in the country. In 2022, "Xalq Sığorta" 's insurance fees amounted to 42.3 million manat, and according to this indicator, it ranked 4th among 20 insurance companies.
Also, for information, in the register of the State Tax Service there is no information about the shareholders of JSC "Xalq Sığorta", LLC "İdeal Biznes Ko" (50%) and LLC "Yevro Standart" (50%). It is known that these companies are also the main shareholders of "Xalq Bank" OJSC. In the report of "Xalq Bank" OJSC, "Neftchilar Avenue, 153" is indicated as the legal address of both companies. This address is also home to "Pasha Holding", one of the leading companies in the country. The report of "Xalq Bank" OJSC also notes that the ultimate owners of the bank are Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, who exercise joint control over the bank.
"Muğanbank" OJSC, which filed a lawsuit against "Xalq Sığorta", was registered in 1992. The bank with an authorized capital of 107.5 million manats had 4 shareholders. Elmir Magbet oglu Mehdiyev, who controls 67.74% of the shares, is the son-in-law of Akhmet Valiyev. Valieva Vyafa, who controls 10.65% of the shares, is the daughter of Akhmet Valiev. The remaining 2 shareholders are Elmir Mehdiyev's parents.
