The same butter is sold in Azerbaijan for 4.9, in Armenia for 4.3, and in Georgia for 3 dollars

Last year, 24,507.5 tons of butter worth 139.5 million dollars were imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries.
Yeniavaz.com
reports with reference to official data, the average customs value of 1 kilogram of imported butter was 5.6 dollars (9.7 manat).
It should be noted that if in January last year the average cost of 1 kilogram of imported butter in the country's retail chains was 19.5 manat, then by the end of the year - in December it had risen to 22.4 manat. In January of this year, it was 22.6 manat.
As the figures show, butter is sold in supermarkets at almost twice the price of what it is imported into the country.
For information, imported butter is sold cheaper in neighboring countries than in Azerbaijan.
For example, 200 grams of French-made President butter is currently sold at Bravo, one of the leading supermarkets in Azerbaijan, for 8.29 manats (4.9 US dollars).
The same product, namely 200 grams of President butter, is sold at the well-known SAS supermarket in Armenia for 4.3 dollars (1690 drams), and at the well-known Naturali supermarket in Georgia for 3 dollars (8.5 lari).
